There are many species of ants. A few types of ants we see here in North Carolina are fire ants, pavement ants, and carpenter ants. No matter the species, ants live in colonies headed by a queen. All ants have a specific job in their colony.

Worker ants are what we usually see. They leave their colony to forage for food and resources to help build the colony. They communicate by leaving a pheromone trail for other worker ants in their colony to find, which is why we usually see them in trails. Ants are difficult to get rid of, as they are often many in number.

At Kind Pest Control, we are willing to take on the challenge and rid you of any ant issue you may have as quickly as possible. We will start with a thorough inspection to note where the ants are located, where they are trailing, and the source. We will also identify the ant species in this step. Our technicians will then recommend and provide treatment.

Generally speaking, it may take 5-7 days for you to notice a dramatic decrease in ant activity. This is due in part to the residual product we use. It is not fast acting, because we want the ants to have time to take the product back to their colony. We do offer free reservices, so if you do not see dramatic results after 7 days, we will send a technician to retreat free of charge.
